Our Story

It takes one to know one

Meet Anu

Ph.D - Co-founder and CEO of iuno

Our journey began when I was diagnosed with Leukemia while pursuing my PhD. As a scientist and bioengineer, I was prepared to deal with many aspects of my treatment. What I wasn’t expecting was the effect of the treatment on my skin and it changing my reflection in the mirror, everyday.

As I learned more about what was happening, I discovered how many adverse skin conditions can be traced to protein patterns produced by our unique DNA and how these protein patterns change based on diet, activity levels and other lifestyle decisions.

Your skin is a reflection of your internal health factors. As your life changes, so do these factors. Rather than rely on questionnaires and quizzes, my hope with iuno is to provide a set of tools to detect and treat the root cause of many different skin conditions.

Our regimen is based on a level of insight into your unique biology that has previously been absent from any other skincare products. Our individualized products evolve with your skin needs so you don't have to continue experimenting if one of your products stops working because your skin changed. After completing my PhD at Caltech, I went on to join X (Google’s moonshot factory), a group dedicated to solving some of the world’s biggest problems, but my experience stuck with me. I ultimately decided to dedicate myself to finding solutions to improve quality of life by analyzing these unique protein patterns.

I am so excited to have you join the journey.

Welcome to iuno,
Anu Thubagere
